Model TB-2SR Start Bar
The Nolatron TB-2SR machine start bar is a complete OSHA compliant ergonomic two hand starting system. It increases productivity while operator fatigue and stress are decreased. It includes a cast aluminum enclosure, guarded hand sensors and an anti-tiedown control with front panel indicator lights.
When properly installed, the TB-2SR start bar meets OSHA requirements of section 1910.217(6) which covers two-hand controls.
Features:
The Nolatron TB-2SR start bar has a microprocessor and multiple modes of operation that can be programmed to fit various applications. It counts and displays machine cycles on the enclosure display.
Anti-tiedown – The TB-2SR start bar requires an operator to have both hands on start switches in order to start machine operation. This minimizes the possibility of the operator starting the machine while his hand is in the work area.
Control Reliability – The TB-2SR start bar is designed to meet the OSHA classification of “control reliability” as defined in Sec. 1910.217(b)(13).
Redundant Output Contacts – The TB-2SR start bar uses double positive guided output relays. Each relay is checked for proper status prior to beginning a machine cycle.
Ergonomic – The angle of the hand sensors coincides with the natural movement of the hands and require no pressure to operate.
Safety – The hand sensors are guarded so as to allow actuation only from the side toward the machine operator.
Operation:
The start bar has several operation modes. They are defined by setting options in the Setup Menu.
Momentary Output – The output will remain ON until one or both start switches are released.
Maintained Output – After the external Hold switch is closed, the output will remain ON after the start switches are released. The output will stay on until the external Reset switch is closed or if the external Hold switch is opened.
Timed Output – The output will remain ON until one or both start switches are released, or until the dwell timer reaches zero. Timing starts when the output turns on.
Maintained Timed Output – After the external Hold switch is closed, the output will remain ON after the start switches are released. The output will stay on until the dwell timer reaches zero or until the external Hold switch is opened. Timing starts when the output turns on.
Delayed Timed Output – The output will remain ON until one or both start switches are released, or until the dwell timer reaches zero. Timing starts when external the Hold switch is closed.
Maintained Delayed Timed Output – After the external Hold switch is closed, the output will remain ON after the start switches are released. The output will stay on until the dwell timer reaches zero or the external Hold switch is opened. Timing starts when external Hold switch is closed.
Part-in-Place Mode – The bar will not respond to the start switches until the external Reset switch is closed. In this mode, the external Reset switch cannot be used to end the machine cycle, and the Hold feature will only work with a timed output.
